Pierre and Maria welcome you in the warm and nice atmosphere of their house and family. A nice room on the last floor of a beautiful maison de maître (Mansion) is waiting for you. Located in one of the most attractive neighbourhoods of Brussels (Bascule, bois de la cambre, Flagey), you are never far from shops, restaurants, parks, bars, markets, sightseeing, concerthalls, theatre, musea.... Close to many public transportation but even if by foot all is reachable.

The space

A typical and classical Belgian maison de maître (mansion) build around 1900. It consists of 4 floors; The ground floor is the area we all live in and consist of a kitchen, dining room, play-work room and living room with TV and city garden. This floor we gladly share with our guests. The 1st first floor is private to Pierre and Maria, the hosts and their newborn child, Matisse. They have their office and bedroom there. The third floor is dedicated to two beautiful and young girls (16 and 18) (Mathilde and Eleonor) that stay with us 8 days in a month. The last and 3th floor consists of two rooms and a bathroom and is completely for our guests, these could be sporadic short (AirBnB) or long-term guests (student or intern). We have a large and flowery city garden on the ground floor and a sunny south- west terrace... basketball in the back and pingpong in the cellar!

Guest access

We are glad to share with you the whole ground floor. This consists of a living room, dining room, work and play room, kitchen and lovely city garden. We have a south – west oriented sunny terrace to share also. You can use the laundry and dryer machine; we will give you a large private space in the fridge. The bathroom will be shared with other guests if there are any present and so we ask you to keep it thighty and clean. We gladly lend you bikes (if available) (ask upfront) or you can store yours in the cellar or hallway.

Guest interaction

We can help you have a great stay in Brussels by giving you the best tips available, typical foods to eat, local bars to go to, and great liitle gems only people from Brussels know about. You can join us in the living room, and even at the breakfast or dinner table, from time to time, or you can just climb the stairs without even being noticed and keep your total privacy during your whole stay. Up to you! But we like to meet other people for sure.
As I (Maria) am working for myself, I have a flexible and open agenda. Pierre works sometimes from home and is there early in the morning and later at night. As I have a baby I will be home a lot and as I have a busy job, I could be gone a lot also : -)

Getting around

Feet: You are just in the slam bang middle of everything, so walking is just a great way to getting to know the city in general.
Bike: We have 6 bikes in the house! 4 adult bikes and 2 childrens bikes. This doesn’t mean they will always be available ☺ So please, mention well in advance you would like to use them so we can keep it in consideration.
Car: Airport Zaventem: 15 km – 20 min / Airport Charleroi: 60 km - 50 min
Paid car parking: Indigo: Rue de Livourne 11, 1060 Saint-Gilles 0032/ 2 432 80 10 – 650 m 8 minutes walk – 2 minutes drive.
Parking is the street is relatively easy being in the city centre.

Tram station Bailli (260 m): 93 – 8 Triniti (200 m): 81
Bus station Flagey (850 m): 71
Train station (1, 9 km) Bruxelles Midi/Brussel Zuid

Hi, I am Maria, soon the mother of Matisse... I love life and hold a high and positive energy... Loves to have a chilled evening in our city garden with a good bottle of wine but could also as easily attend a jazz concert downtown... Curious from different characters and so very happy to meet you all soon.

Hi, I am Pierre in love with Maria and the happy father of almost 3 kids now. I am a positive person and looking for authenticity. I have an interesting and busy worklive but also always in a hurry to be home with my beloved ones.
